For optimum enjoyment, spread out the timing of your appetizers from the entrée, so your wizardry in the kitchen will be truly appreciated – as it should be!

Ingredients 

Filling
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 8 large shrimp diced
  • 5 green onions
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chicken stock powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
Wonton
  • 1 Package wonton wrappers (400 g)
  • 1 Egg beaten with 1 cup water
Deep Fry
  • 7 cups cooking oil
Dip
  • Plum Sauce

 

Step by Step Instructions

 

Prepare Filling

Mix all filling ingredients together

Deep Fry Wontons

Place a teaspoon of filling inside each wonton. Using your finger, moisten edges with egg mixture and fold in half. Crimp edges into a sea shell shape. On medium-high heat, deep fry wontons in cooking oil (several minutes per side) turning until evenly fully cooked and golden brown.

Serve with plum sauce.
